MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him become a part of mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It peaked at 8 on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year he joined Ozuna in their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he debuted his second album charting Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. He appeared in 2021 in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo's brother and mother were musicians when he was born. According to Turizo, music was an integral element of his existence. Growing up, he taught to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. While his initial career choice was a career as a vet his brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end result of recognizing his gift as a musician changed the trajectory of his life.
